12.04 Wallpaper!

Here is what i came up with... PANGOLINS ARE FREAKING DIFFICULT TO MAKE LOOK GOOD!!!!!! See if you like it as a wallpaper ;) I may try to adjust the colors as well.

Wallpaper Challenge (for myself)

After looking at the default wallpaper for 12.04 (aka Precise Pangolin) I have decided to try  designing a logo for the distribution using a program I have never even attempted before, Inkscape. I will most likely use the default wallpaper with a transparent design in the middle for starters. Already have somewhat of a good idea in my head. Hope it turns out well...

All done.....

Well, my second quarter is over at DePaul. Guess it's time to go home. But here is what I decided to model for my final project in 3D modeling. I think it turned out okay. Could be better (eh-hem. HAIR DYNAMICS [which i haven't been taught yet] and a better head model) but it's what I could finish in the time allowed.
Bet you can't guess who this is... ;)

Just a quick turntable of my model.

As for my animation class, we had to make an animation in flash or after effects. So I chose flash as my weapon of choice. This one took a crap ton of time to make. It's still not close to being done though :/

I wish I had enough time to add sound and a background with other characters, but I just had so much on my plate.

Overall, my experience at DePaul has been pretty good. I have learned quite a lot in only two quarters. Can't wait for next quarter. I get to learn how to animate character and then learn more about texturing and lighting (which is looking like what I want to do. Lighting is EVERYTHING. Most people forget about this).

Haven't worked on any concepts recently, but I have an excuse! I promise!

Having a lot of fun here at DePaul, although I havent been able to actually get out much. TOO MUCH ANIMATION! But I am definitely learning a lot! We had to create caricatures for my modeling class, so I decided to do Jack Sparrow... I was not very pleased with the result at all, but it does have pretty damn good edge flow for my first time attempting something like this.
As you can tell, it's not a very good representation of Cap'n Jack. We then had to take this model and redo it and make the final version... WITH ONLY 300 FACES MAX. This proved to be difficult. So I eventually finished the head and realized that i was over... Not to worry though. I just deleted the back of the head and added a sphere for the top and played around with hair dynamics (never taught us that one ;D). THIS is what my final version turned out to be!
MUCH BETTER!!!!!! Thank goodness we were able to redo it. I like this one so much more.

Overlord Final Render

Finally finished it. I now know to bump up the frame rate when I render and want to do slow motion effects. Anyways, hope you like it.

My newest 3D creation

Had to make an overlord's office. I didn't want mine to be like everyone else's, so what do I do? I think outside our own dimension. This overlord makes his OWN office. Overall I am surprised how this turned out. I did a lot of experimenting :P I am definitely having fun at DePaul though!! All this work is keeping me out of trouble ;)
